Concert programmes

The singers in full voice

The Saint Martin Singers perform about four to six concerts a year in London and elsewhere in England, in aid of charitable or other worthwhile causes.

The concerts comprise a cappella pieces interspersed with readings from actors based around a central theme. Some programmes relate directly to dates in the Church calendar - we have programmes for Advent, Christmas, Passiontide, Easter and Harvest Festival - while others are of a more secular nature, including programmes on the seasons, gardens, bells, romantic love, and children. We sing a wide range of unaccompanied music from early to contemporary; composers include Tallis, Byrd, Gibbons, Viadana, Scarlatti, Saint-Saens, Stanford, Elgar, Vaughan Williams, Gardner and Tavener.
